1,000-gram cocaine bust hits Lansing home with 7 kids

Lansing police seized more than 1,000 grams of cocaine, an illegal firearm and cash from a home where a woman and seven children were present.

Officers found the drugs, gun and cash while executing a search warrant at the suspect's home as part of an ongoing investigation, according to Lansing police and WILX News 10, which first reported the seizure Wednesday, Sept. 2. Police said the suspect, described as a habitual offender, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of six offenses.

Authorities had not released details about the specific allegations, the suspect's identity, the home's address or the type of firearm as of Wednesday.
