The Lansing Lugnuts will open their 31st season at Jackson Field against archrival West Michigan on April 6, 2027, the club announced Thursday, Aug. 6, in its official schedule release.

The 66-game home schedule runs through Sept. 5, 2027, and features the return of a Fourth of July game at the downtown ballpark.

The Whitecaps visit twice. They open the season April 6–11 and return June 1–6 for a second six-game set at the 11,000-seat stadium on East Michigan Avenue.

East Division foes Fort Wayne (April 20–25 and Aug. 17–22), Great Lakes (April 27–May 2 and Aug. 3–8) and Dayton (July 20–25 and Aug. 31–Sept. 5) each make two trips to Michigan's capital, while Lake County visits once, May 11–16.

Two West Division opponents round out the home calendar. Beloit comes to town June 15–20, a series that includes Father's Day, and Quad Cities closes out a six-game set June 29 through July 4.

The Lugnuts, the High-A affiliate of the Athletics, have called Jackson Field home since the stadium opened in 1996 as Oldsmobile Park, a nod to Lansing's automobile manufacturing roots. The ballpark was renamed Jackson Field in 2021. Its alumni list includes Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, Carlos Beltrán and Mason Miller.

The 2027 announcement comes as the Lugnuts wrap up their 30th-anniversary season. Through July 30, the club held a 41–55 record in 2026 Midwest League play.

Broadcaster Jesse Goldberg-Strassler authored the official release. The team said the full schedule, including nightly promotions, will be announced during the 2026–2027 offseason.
