Capital Pro Wrestling returned to the Fledge in Lansing on Sunday, Oct. 18, after advertising an eight-match card that included championship bouts and a no-holds-barred match.

Proceeds from the event support the Fledge Foundation, a Lansing-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit. WILX spoke with executive producer Zachary Macomber about the show's community roots.

Macomber said Capital Pro Wrestling has hosted events at the Fledge since 2019.

"We want to help people out. We want to bring people a good time. And we want Lansing to grow," Macomber said.

The Oct. 18 matches were part of the Great Lakes Pro Wrestling Showcase, an online series produced by American Lucha Libre that has aired nearly 300 episodes, WILX reported. The producer’s episode archive dates its first episode to August 2019. The series brings footage from live events to viewers at home.

The Fledge, at 1300 Eureka St., serves as the venue for the monthly shows. Admission for Sunday’s event was advertised at $15 for adults and $5 for anyone under 18, according to Capital Pro Wrestling's Facebook page. Doors were scheduled to open at 2:30 p.m. with the first bell at 3 p.m.

The Fledge Foundation provides free food, hygiene supplies, harm reduction services and community events with no applications or eligibility requirements, according to the foundation's website. The foundation describes its mission as serving anyone who needs support, with a focus on mid-Michigan.

The foundation is a separate entity from the Fledge LLC. Donations to the foundation support its nonprofit programs only.

Capital Pro Wrestling holds events at the Fledge monthly. American Lucha Libre lists the next show for Sunday, Nov. 15, with a 3 p.m. start.
